Current Chair of the IAHR/IWA Joint Committee on Hydroinformatics and professor of urban water systems at the University of Enna in Italy. He is actively working on research on Urban Water Supply and Urban Drainage, developing new numerical approaches and analytical tools to investigate and manage complex urban water systems in the context of global and environmental change.
