I am Fainaz Inamdeen, a PhD student in the Division of Water Resources Engineering at Lund University, Sweden. My research focuses on the impact of extreme river flows on bridges, with a special focus on local scour. I have a solid foundation in hydrodynamics and am deeply passionate about river-related research. I moved to Sweden from Sri Lanka in 2018 to pursue a master's degree at Lund University through a scholarship from the Swedish Institute. I have four years of professional experience working on a hydropower dam project in Sri Lanka. Beyond academia, I enjoy traveling and relish the opportunity to connect with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. I also like to watch football.
