Alemtsehay Seyoum is Postdoctoral Research Associate in Sewer and Water Supply System Performance in the University of Sheffield in the UK at the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering. Currently, she is working on a Pipebots project, which is a multi-university research project funded by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council for developing autonomous swarm robotic systems for inspection and monitoring of buried sewer and water supply pipes. She obtained her PhD from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, working on Head Dependent Modelling and Optimisation of Water Distribution Systems. She obtained her MSc degree from UNESCO-IHE, Delft, the Netherlands in Municipal Water and Infrastructure. Her BSC degree is in Civil Engineering from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia. She has been working in water industry for several years in various aspects of water and sewer systems.
