Associated Professor in Hydraulics; Université Côte d’Azur, CNRS, Observatoire de la Côte d’Azur, IRD, Géoazur, France
Dr. Morgan Abily, plays a pivotal role at regional and international levels in hydraulic modeling and hydroinformatics, as a permanent member of the UMR GEOAZUR/RISQUES research group at Université Côte d'Azur. Notably, he directs the hydroinformatics Master's program, Master HYDROPROTECH, shaping the academic and professional path of aspiring engineers.
Dr. Abily embarked on his journey in 2011 as a research engineer at the Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN - France). During this period, he focused on hydraulic modeling and uncertainty analysis in flood risk assessment. His work yielded valuable scientific contributions to the Hydroinformatics community, with practical applications in urban and industrial contexts. Simultaneously, he achieved recognition for his outstanding doctoral work in fluid mechanics, receiving the prestigious Jean Valembois Award from the French Hydraulic Society (SHF).
