Wei Zhang, PhD, associate professor in Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. He is also a member of the Youth Editorial Board of "Water Resources Protection", a director of the Beijing Society of Water Ecology and Soil and Water Conservation, a member of the Smart Water Professional Committee of the China Engineering Construction Standardization Association, a member of the expert database of Shantou City, a national sponge city pilot city, and a distinguished expert of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Prof. Zhang has strong capabilities in urban stormwater management and sponge city development, especially in stormwater soil infiltration facility, urban flooding risk control, spatiotemporal characteristics of extreme rainfall and urban drainage modeling uncertainty. Prof. Zhang is currently the leader of more than 20 research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Scientific Research Project of Beijing Educational Committee, etc. and he works with researchers with different disciplinary in urban stormwater research.
